“The Intruder” is a new play produced by FELIX CREATIVE THEATRE.  

The play is also known as 《偷.心》 （tou xin） in Chinese mandarin.

 

This play has two versions, on the 19th Nov. two shows  are directed by Fei LI (same director who directed Chinese play'Murder on Changde Road' in February 2016), and on 20th Nov. it is our experimental play directed by Scarlett in form of immersive theatre.

Every year floods of new immigrants come to live in Auckland and many are Chinese elders, parents coming to reunite with their adult children who now live and work in Auckland. However lots of these children then go overseas again or go back to China to pursue their careers and the parents are left here alone.

 

This play is based on a real story about a one of these parents living alone in Auckland who is confronted by a 'thief'. The 'thief' speaks English while the old man speaks Mandarin.

 

What happens in this encounter between two strangers who doesn't even understand each other's language? A story filled with loneliness and love, Welcome to Intruder 《偷.心》, a Felix Studio original Chinese-English play!
